Worship at Southcourt
Sunday Services
Our Sunday Services are held at 10.30am and 6.30pm.
During the morning service there are special groups in the Sunday Club for
children and young people, and there is also a creche for the under-twos.
Communion is normally included in the morning service on the third Sunday of
the month and in the evening service on the first Sunday.
Worship
True worship is about a response to God's heart and about what He has done for
us. Worship is a lifestyle, but when we gather together as a community of
believers worship is at the heart of all we do, for this pleases the Father's
heart. Therefore, expressions of worship take many forms. Whatever we do arises
out of our love for God and our desire to worship Him in spirit and truth.
Prayer
Prayer is an important part of our times together as a church family. There is
often an opportunity to hear news of particular situations, around the world or
from within our own community, that need prayer. At the end of each service we
have a team of people who are available, if you would like prayer.
Hearing Loop
The auditorium is fitted with a hearing loop. Maximum benefit will be received
if you are sitting either:
a) in one of the five seats in each row nearest to the side walls
b) in one of the five back rows of the centre section (excluding
those rows which come under the lounge)
Recording of the Services
All of our services are recorded, and are available in a variety of media,
including Audio CDs, mp3 files, and audio tapes.
Welcome Desk
This is staffed at each service, where you will find literature about the church
and its various activities. If you are new or visiting, please come and make
yourself known to us at the Welcome Desk. We look forward to meeting you.
Bookstall
The church bookstall carries a wide range of quality Christian products from
Bibles to Christian fiction, also a good selection of children's books and CDs
as well as greetings cards for all occasions. Magazine and Bible reading notes
are also available. Members of the bookstall team are available before and after
Sunday services to assist with your requirements.
Additional Facilities
An adapted toilet is available within the main building and all ground floor
rooms are accessible by wheelchair. Baby changing facilities are also available.
