Southcourt and Walton Court Community Project

The Southcourt & Walton Court Community Project started in 1989.

It is a Registered Charity (No. 1077901), and a Charitable Company (Registration No. 2748161), primarily supporting children and their families in the community. It aims to promote and strengthen family and community life, principally by creating a safe environment for children to play in the out of school environment.

It works in partnership with local churches, schools, community groups and agencies.

The Southcourt Project originally encompassed more varied community work on the local estate. However, with the creation of the Healthy Living Centre (a project initiated by the Southcourt Project) many of the activities have been taken over.

The main thrust of SWCCP is now: Holiday Play schemes; Access to training and qualifications (playwork and family).
