Meet the Team
For over 70 years, Southcourt has had a fine tradition of
children's and youth work. Today over 350 children and young people under the
age of 18 pass through the church activities each week. The work is overseen by
the Youth Pastor.

Pastoral Care and Safety
The care of those who attend our groups is taken very
seriously. The church has adopted a Guidelines and Policy document which
outlines our working procedures and is available on request from our
Youth Pastor.
Our minibus has high backed seats all of which are fitted with lap and
shoulder belts. There is always another adult on board in addition to
the driver. Full parental consent is required for trips and visits away from the
church premises. In the case of trips out of town, details of names and
addresses of the travellers are carried by the leader in charge.
We seek to work closely with schools and other groups so as to provide
the best possible care for those who attend the church programmes.
Summer Camps
Two weekend camps for children school years 4 -9 are held during the
year.
Every year we also attend summer camps run by Hants and Dorset Christian
Youth Camps. Based near Swanage in Dorset these are run throughout August.
They cater for young people aged from 9 to 16 years. H&DCYC are registered with The Adventure Activities Licensing
Authority. Outdoor activities are carried out under the supervision of qualified instructors.
